| Kuilfontein is a fifth generation working sheep farm situated conveniently just 500 metres from the N1 between Bloemfontein and Colesberg close to Springfontein in the Southern Free State. Springfontein is situated 150 km southwest of Bloemfontein and 80km north of Colesberg.  Sandra welcomes you to her beautiful Guest farm, this small oasis situated in the Karoo, will soon become your home away from home. True to family tradition a delicious Karoo Lamb Dinner is served. After a good nights’ rest that can only be experienced on a peaceful farm, you may enjoy a Full English Breakfast.
During the heat of summer, relax in the sprawling garden or take a refreshing plunge in the sparkling pool. On chilly nights infront of the fireplace enjoy the camaraderie of other guests who have become friends over the years. |
Kuilfontein Farmstall The Farmstall has become a landmark on the N1, for the weary traveller. Martinette makes the best cappucinos’ in the Free State, that can be enjoyed with a delicious slice of cake. Shelton is a qualified chef, and bakes the most scrumptious pies, namely chicken and marsala, lamb and mint and venison and juniper berry. These can also be bought frozen, for you to pop in the oven at home. The Farmstall’s restaurant has many wonderful Karoo style dishes on the menu.
Browse around, and find your perfect choice of nuts, preserves and biltong etc. Arts and crafts are sourced from the locals in the area. Sheepskin products such as slippers, seat covers etc are available.
